Carissa Tanton Illustrations – Carissa is an illustrator, simplicity seeker and tea drinker based in beautiful North Wales. Creating prints and drawings with a consideration for sustainability through choices of paper, inks and her art practice. She believes our homes should be sanctuaries that reflect who we are & hopes her work can inspire you to celebrate the little things such as the ritual of making a cup of tea or your daily walk in the woods.
Her work is currently inspired by her growing connection to nature, wisdom, intuition, midnfullness and our place as cyclical beings, believing that the way to protect our planet is through a deeper sense of being a part of it.
Her work is available online here: shop.
After graduating in Psychology and English Literature back in 2011 she moved to Paris on a whim to be an au pair. It’s here that she fell madly in love with art and specifically drawing.
Two and a half years later she moved back home to North Wales with a very heavy suitcase and a slight addiction to croissants and french wine.
She then joined her recently-retired dad to study art and design at the local college. After that year full of experimentation he went on to study an undergraduate degree in art and she opened up a little Etsy shop in January 2017.
As a seeker of simplicity her style developed into just the use of pen and paper, and she is mostly known now for her black and white fine line drawings.
